Did you get your menu broken in Sharepoint 2010 on any Apple product? (I hate Apple, GOOOO ANDROID).
I used fixes from blogs where to download complete safari.browser files with tons of lines with code, what didn’t seem to help. If you only have the same problem as me follow my steps with only a few lines.
1: go to your webserver and browse to the application-folder you encountered the problem:
2: Create the file safari.browser and past the following lines into it:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <browsers> <browser refID="Safari60"> <controlAdapters> <adapter controlType="System.Web.UI.WebControls.Menu" adapterType="" /> </controlAdapters> </browser> </browsers>
To apply the changes without iisreset just put a space in the web.config and save it. After saving IIS will notice a change in your web.config and wil load the newly added safari.browser. Grab your iPad and refresh!
Important! Do not add these lines to compat.browser… It could happen that this file wil be rewritten on a Sharepoint update or servicepack!
